The Trade Desk Projects Wrap; The Trade Desk Together With Tangram Interiors Create New Office Environments at their New York Flagship Office and San Francisco Office

Tangram, a curator of highly creative commercial interior environments and work spaces, has completed a new furniture design installation for The Trade Desk at two prominent locations for the company.

The 96,000 square foot New York flagship office located at Grace Building 1114 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10110 project was completed in 2020. This new installation for their 500+ employees was designed to help The Trade Desk offer one, open space for all their employees. Five floors were completed for the company in partnership with architecture and design firm SOM.

The Trade Desk San Francisco office is spread across 21,456 square feet on one floor. Located at 425 Market Street 24th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, the 2021 project provided furniture installation for upwards of 100 employees in partnership with architecture and design firm HOK.

Workstations – Steelcase Ology height adjustable desks with credenza storage were selected and equipped with low screens, providing an open environment. The stations were placed in rows and clusters of 8-10 throughout the perimeter of the building on each floor.

Private offices/meeting rooms/huddle rooms: Demountable walls installed throughout the five floors with Ology height adjustable desks, meeting tables and four desk chairs surrounding the tables. All spaces were equipped with technology for presenting and video conferencing capabilities. Each of these spaces offer a private environment for meetings while still allowing for natural light to shine into the spectacular building. All huddle rooms received D-shaped tables with Steelcase Cobi chairs. Gray neutral tones were outfitted in the space.

Lobby – Neutral, contemporary Bolia lounge chairs in gray, wood and white were spatially placed together for interaction encouragement, with complementary greens and an earthy neutral color palette incorporated throughout. Blu Dot provided the coffee tables.

Cafe (The Social Hub) – Poly Coalesse dining chairs in green and Stools in Coalesse Enea Scope have wood legs with a poly seat. The seating was designed to seat 6-8 people.

Wellness Room – The room’s purpose was to offer a rejuvenating, relaxing, and decompressing space with private time away from the work environment. Bolia Gaia sofa paired with the Philippa lounge chair in calming neutrals were chosen. The Bolia Posea coffee table, Blu Dot Coco side table and contemporary Blu Dot Bobber floor lamp with warm lighting completed the remaining space of the Wellness area.

Main Open Office – Tangram brought a residential feel into the work environment with the Steelcase x West Elm Belle Tufted Sectional in a rich blue while still offering contract-grade durability an office requires. Tables are Community Coalesse Potrero tables blended with the Social Hub Cafe where eating, collaborating, working, taking a break and relationship building can all take place. Stools in Coalesse Enea Scope with wood legs and a poly seat for versatile seating were paired. An OFS Shuffleboard was placed alongside sprawling open windows to encourage employees to have fun and decompress for a moment.

Banquettes – This open space encourages various social aspects and can be used as an independent work space, collaboration space or casual meeting space. Erg The Raven booths complemented the warm, calming colors with a note of cool neutral wood tones.

Multi-Purpose Room – The room can convert to two smaller rooms or one large room for various meeting needs with ultimate flexibility as the priority. West Elm Slope swivel conference chairs for easy conversion and Nienkamper Metronome tables can be coupled together to make one large meeting table or pulled apart to satisfy any size meeting.

Lobby – Bolia Carmen and Cloud lounge chairs in warm green and blue tones and the JH97 green lounge chair match the casual seating goals upon first arrival. Black metal and white terrazzo coffee tables were incorporated to complement the Industry West Cane Sideboard console table and create a warm, inviting and relaxing environment for all visitors.

Tangram facilitated The Trade Desk to open up their office space and provide more solutions for their growing company. Tangram worked in tandem with the design firms HOK in San Francisco and SOM in New York to offer The Trade Desk maximized work flexibility, a variety of meeting spaces and multiple lounge areas. The brand’s culture and company were at the forefront of each curated furniture solution, paying homage to the local culture and particular location as well. The Trade Desk was involved in every step of the way, integrating the company’s needs in each element selected. The ultimate goal was to offer spaces that brought people together – whether it be for a formal meeting, impromptu collaboration session or to build rapport amongst employees.
