Expanding project portfolio prompts the award-winning firm to establish a West Coast presence.
The Switzer Group, a nationally ranked interior architecture firm steeped in strategic space planning and design for the media, corporate, technology, and academic sectors, has announced it has expanded efforts to the West Coast to better serve its current clientele including AMC and IPG, as well as to grow the firm’s client base.
Heading the new office is Principal Michelle Ives-Ratkovich, LEED AP along with Kelly Capp on board as Senior Designer. With more than 25 years of design and management experience in the architectural and interior design industries, Ives-Ratkovich was previously a Principal at AECOM in the firm’s Interiors sector as well as Director of Interiors at Leo A. Daly. In her new role, Ives-Ratkovich will lead the establishment and expansion of The Switzer Group’s new office using her experience in business development, marketing, proposal writing, and client engagement. She brings an impressive project portfolio as well as vast knowledge in real estate, design, product development, and construction.

Joining Ives-Ratkovich, Kelly Capp brings 15 years of design and management experience. Well-versed in architecture and interior design, Capp has held roles as Senior Designer for Studios Architecture and, as Associate Principal with AECOM. Capp is a true creative and problem-solver, applying her keen aesthetic sense and a strong attention to detail to every project.
This was a natural move for the 43-year-old firm, which prides itself on its diverse team, extensive design prowess, and attentiveness to clients and their needs.
