The Mitchell Group, a major converter of coated fabrics to upholstery markets around the world, has launched Hyde, the newest addition to its acclaimed Sta-Kleen® Silicone collection. Designed to meet the demanding needs of various commercial applications, Hyde delivers a rich tactile experience and exceptional performance, crafted for designers who require both sophistication and endurance in their material selections.
Available in an expansive palette of 31 hues ranging from bold to rich to neutral, Hyde features an elegant matte surface with subtle dimension and depth. Its texture brings a natural softness and visual richness that complements a wide range of interior aesthetics, from minimalist modern to comforting warmth. Hyde is a lighter-weight textile compared to The Mitchell Group’s standard Sta-Kleen Silicone products, thus offering a more budget-friendly option while maintaining commercial performance values for markets like hospitality or contract.

Constructed with 100% silicone on a 100% Global Recycled Standard polyester backing, Hyde exceeds industry standards for strength, cleanability, and environmental responsibility. The material achieves 100,000 double rubs and contains no PVC, plasticizers, or solvents, making it a durable, sustainable, and non-toxic alternative to traditional coated fabrics. A full list of performance testing results and environmental attributes for Hyde is available online at mitchellfauxleathers.com/collections/sta-kleen-silicone/hyde.
“With Hyde, we’ve created another Sta-Kleen® Silicone pattern that doesn’t just perform, it inspires while exceeding expectations,” said Bill Fisch, President of The Mitchell Group. “Designers are asking for materials that are environmentally safe, soft to the touch, and tough enough for high-use interiors. Hyde delivers all of that and more, offering beautiful color depth and texture while maintaining the trusted Sta-Kleen® performance our partners rely on.”
As part of the Sta-Kleen® Silicone collection, Hyde shares the brand’s signature benefits: a solvent-free formulation, superior chemical and abrasion resistance, bleach cleanability, and disinfectant compatibility with Clorox Healthcare® and CloroxPro® products. The result is a long-lasting surface that resists staining, cracking, and fading, even under frequent cleaning and disinfection protocols, which are especially common in healthcare environments.
