The Mitchell Group Achieves Industry-Leading Hydrolysis Rating for Polyurethane Fabrics

The Mitchell Group, a major converter of coated fabrics to upholstery markets around the world, is proud to announce that it now holds the highest hydrolysis rating for polyurethane fabrics in the industry. Recent hydrolysis tests for the company’s Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate lines have returned unprecedented results, setting a new benchmark for durability and performance in the performance textiles market.

The hydrolysis test measures the resistance of materials to degradation when exposed to moisture and heat. The new test results for Mitchell’s Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate fabrics demonstrate exceptional longevity under these conditions:

  • Sta-Kleen Polyurethane
  • Wet process: 19 weeks (includes Bubble and Harmony patterns)
  • Dry process: 24 weeks (includes Highwood, Hudson, Lodge, Payson, and Tucson patterns)
  • Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate
  • All patterns: 24 weeks

Bill Fisch, president of The Mitchell Group, expressed his pride in the company’s continued commitment to innovation and quality. “Our Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate products are designed to provide unmatched durability and longevity for our customers, and this new rating affirms that we’re delivering on our promise of superior performance. We’re excited to continue raising the bar in the market and offering products that withstand rigorous use as they should.”

With these results, The Mitchell Group reinforces its leadership in the development of exceptional performance textiles for a wide range of commercial and residential use. Customers can rely on Mitchell’s Sta-Kleen fabrics for enhanced durability and long-lasting performance, even in the most demanding environments.
