Defining their space and themselves, Datto’s new office at 101 Merritt 7 in Norwalk, CT brings it all together.

Datto was a growing startup company that turned to CPG Architects to help them create an environment that supported their values, culture and sense of community. The goal was to design a professional work environment that would appeal to prospective employees, retain existing, and support them in their work. Using a colorful and bright palette, against a neutral field of white and gray, Datto’s new 134,000 square foot facility at 101 Merritt 7 exudes their personality as techy, playful and just plain fun. Features:
- 200-seat ‘Town Hall’ assembly area
- 3,500 square foot ‘Town Square’ which includes a large, open lounge area, break out areas, bar, pantry and dining area
- 60 foot, 50,000 piece, curved ‘Lego Wall’ for individual, artistic expression
- Cozy living room with seven sleep pods to support their 24/7 customer service department
- Gaming areas and a slushy machine with multiple flavors
- 4-story branded interconnecting stair, springing from a pool of 188,900 shiny ball bearings
This new headquarters achieved their goal, and as a result, launched the image of Datto which is now represented in their other locations around the world. Each location is connected worldwide through 24/7 video transmission in their pantry spaces, providing camaraderie and familiarity between groups, no matter the distance. CPG recently completed Datto’s Boston, MA office and is now working with them on their new Rochester, NY facility.
