Tarkett Debuts iQ Motion: Terrazzo-Inspired “Workhorse” Flooring, Designed to Be Restored + Circular

Tarkett, a global leader in sustainable flooring and circular innovation, has expanded its elite iQ portfolio with the launch of iQ Motion, the newest addition to the world’s highest performing homogeneous vinyl (HO) flooring range.

Engineered for environments where durability, hygiene and long-term performance are essential, iQ Motion continues the legacy of the iQ range. The collection is a single-layer, homogeneous vinyl flooring designed to meet the demanding needs of healthcare, education and other heavy-traffic settings.

A New Design Expression Inspired by Timeless Terrazzo

iQ Motion introduces a refined palette of 16 natural tones, drawing inspiration from the enduring appeal of terrazzo. The colours have been crafted to work seamlessly with other iQ collections, enabling architects and designers to create cohesive, expressive spaces with ease.

Durability and Circularity at the Core

The pioneering iQ range is recognised for its unmatched durability and circular design. iQ Motion delivers the same exceptional performance, offering:
-Unique surface restoration technology, making iQ the only HO flooring on the market that can be restored while in use
-Best-in-class scratch and stain resistance, including superior performance against medical stains
-A comprehensive 20-year warranty, reflecting Tarkett’s confidence in long-term performance

Built for circularity, iQ flooring is 100% recyclable and can be returned to Tarkett at the end of its life through its ReStart® take-back and recycling programme. This closed-loop system reduces the use of virgin materials, preserves resources and avoids carbon-intensive disposal routes such as incineration and landfill.

Tarkett’s commitment to circular design means the iQ range has the lowest circular carbon footprint(1) in the homogeneous vinyl category — at least 2.5 times lower than the total carbon footprint of other HO manufacturers(2)

Thomas Leneveu, Vice President Commercial Business Unit, Tarkett EMEA, said: “iQ Motion joins an outstanding homogeneous vinyl flooring range which we’re proud to say is the world’s highest performing when it comes to both technical performance and circularity. We’ve honed the iQ range over many years, continuously seeking ways to increase its durability while reducing its environmental impact. iQ Motion is our latest addition, embodying everything our customers have come to expect from this cutting-edge flooring, with a radiant new design expression.”
