The Tampa Office Tower is Managed and Leased by Cushman & Wakefield
Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Tampa City Center has been named recipient of the Southern Region 2015 Earth Award by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
The award, announced at the 2016 BOMA Southern Regional Conference, propels Tampa City Center into contention for an international Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award. Tampa City Center won the BOMA Greater Tampa Bay Earth Award in November. International TOBY Awards will be presented in June at the 2016 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Washington, DC .
The Earth Award recognizes environmentally sound facilities and sustainable management practices. Nominees are judged in categories such as the reduction of environmental risks, indoor air quality, recycling, energy conservation, water conservation, interior finish, green purchasing policy and occupant communication and education.
“Our focus has always been to provide the safest, most environmentally friendly building for our tenants while maximizing value for ownership,” said Sandy Ballestra, Tampa City Center General Manager and BOMA Greater Tampa Bay President. “We’re grateful for the recognition BOMA has bestowed on the building and the tireless efforts of our staff.”
“This is a tremendous honor for all involved,” added Tim Rivers, Managing Director of Investor Services at Cushman & Wakefield. “The BOMA awards are a prestigious indicator of industry-leading facilities and management.”
Tampa City Center is located in the heart of downtown Tampa. Completed in 1981, the 750,000-square-foot, 40-story, multi-tiered glass building is LEED EB Gold certified, maintains an ENERGY STAR Label and holds the BOMA 360 Performance designation.
Cushman & Wakefield manages and leases the building. The building is owned by 201 North Franklin Tampa, LLC, an affiliate of Alliance Partners HSP, LLC.
