Stone and Sawyer Opens First Showroom in Delhi, NY
Stone and Sawyer, the bespoke lighting company that handcrafts limited-edition lamps and wares, will open its first showroom and expanded production studio in Delhi, New York this Memorial Day weekend. Founders David Ryan and Julian Peploe, the talented duo behind the American-made lighting company, will kick off the opening with a party on May 28th.
The new showroom will feature Stone and Sawyer’s current and new lamp designs, in addition to limited edition pieces, samples and their first collection of table-top items – including ceramic bowls, containers and platters. Home décor and home furnishings products by other talented designers, such as Peter Soronen, Oliver Pratt, Stephanie Theado, Jen Green, Mary Dohner, Erica Cantwell, Lisa Jacobsen, Rob Howard, Hastbeens and Willbees, and Nisha Bansil, will also be on display. Stone and Sawyer will also showcase collaborative projects with local talented artists, whose original works will be exhibited each year.
The new and improved 4,400 square-foot showroom and production studio is located on Main Street in Delhi, New York, an area of Upstate New York that is nestled in between farmland and woodland. Fittingly, the new showroom looks out onto the only traffic light in town and is surrounded by a string of local artists’ spaces and stores. Not only are Ryan and Peploe’s products 100% handmade, but their newly renovated space was completely transformed – top to bottom, window to wall – with their own bare hands.
“We’ve admired this storefront for years and feel honored to call it the new home of Stone and Sawyer. There is a wealth of talent in Delhi and the surrounding area and we are very excited to bring that talent together here,” says Ryan and Peploe.
Inspired by design from the 20th century, Stone and Sawyer’s beautiful, durable ceramic lamps exude integrity and craftsmanship. Each lamp is custom-made in their studio, located just behind their new showroom. Furthermore, their work embodies the spirit of American quality. Everything from the materials they use to the tools they work with are locally sourced and hand built. Ryan and Peploe ensure that each design has balance and subtlety, and that each lamp is mindfully produced with symbiotic elements.

About Stone and Sawyer (www.stoneandsawyer.com)
Stone and Sawyer designs and hand-produces American-made, fine quality tabletop lighting. In looking for lamps over the years, founders David Ryan and Julian Peploe found it hard to find great ceramic lamps. Inspired by design from the 20th century, they designed their first collection with a focus on integrity and craftsmanship. They create their stoneware ceramic lamp bodies by hand in their studio in the Catskill Mountains of New York and work with local craftspeople to create hand-turned wood parts, hand-finished metal components, and hand-built linen lampshades.
