Sid Meadows Launches CORE Foundations, a New Industry Onboarding Program Designed to Accelerate Success in Contract Interiors

Structured learning experience helps new professionals become confident contributors faster while improving engagement and retention

Sid Meadows of Embark CCT has announced the launch of CORE Foundations, a first-of-its-kind onboarding and industry fluency program designed specifically for professionals entering the Contract Interiors Industry.

While most organizations invest heavily in training employees on company products, processes, and systems, few provide structured education on how the industry itself operates. The result is a significant knowledge gap that often leaves talented new hires struggling to understand the ecosystem, connect the dots between stakeholders, and contribute confidently during their first year.

“The industry doesn’t have a people problem, it has a talent development problem,” said Sid Meadows, Founder of Embark CCT and creator of CORE Foundations. “Every year, smart, capable professionals enter the Contract Interiors Industry with tremendous potential. But because no one teaches them how the entire system works, many spend months trying to figure it out on their own. CORE Foundations was built to change that.”

Our industry requires professionals to navigate a complex network of manufacturers, dealers, independent reps, designers, contracts, pricing structures, and workplace trends. Without a clear understanding of how these elements interact, new hires often feel overwhelmed, take longer to contribute meaningfully, and they may disengage before gaining confidence in their role.

CORE Foundations provides a structured pathway to industry fluency through fourteen concise, podcast-style learning modules designed to fit into the realities of a busy workweek. The curriculum helps participants understand:

  • How the industry ecosystem functions from manufacturer to designer to dealer
  • How projects move from concept to installation
  • Where influence and decision-making occur throughout the process
  • How contracts, market segments, and pricing impact business outcomes
  • What it takes to build a successful first year in the industry

CORE Foundations delivers on-demand lessons averaging approximately ten minutes each, allowing learners to build knowledge without disrupting their workflow. Participants also gain access to practical tools and resources, including industry guides, worksheets, pricing resources, and a Fluency Review that leads to a LinkedIn-shareable CORE Certified Contract Interiors credential.

Organizations implementing CORE Foundations can expect new hires to become more confident, strategic, engaged, and effective contributors while reducing ramp-up time and strengthening long-term retention.

An optional Office Hours component provides participants with access to live, small-group discussions led by Meadows, creating opportunities to ask questions, discuss real-world scenarios, and connect industry concepts to daily experiences.

Meadows brings more than three decades of experience across dealerships, manufacturing, and consulting to the program. In addition to leading Embark CCT, he is Co-Founder of The Collaborative Network, a columnist for Viewpoint Magazine, and host of The Trend Report Podcast.

“CORE Foundations is the orientation I wish I had on my first day in the industry,” Meadows said. “It’s the conversation every new professional deserves. It’s honest, practical, and focused on helping them see the whole system so they can contribute with confidence.”
