SGA is pleased to announce the appointment of Reza Rahimpour, AIA, as Principal in our New York office. Reza is a respected design leader with over two decades of experience delivering complex urban projects across the tri-state area, bringing a strong vision for design excellence grounded in technical precision and urban insight.
In his role, Reza will lead SGA’s New York architectural department with a client-focused mindset, drawing on his deep expertise in multifamily, commercial, and adaptive reuse architecture. He will play a central role in guiding design strategy, strengthening client relationships, and will also help evolve SGA’s award-winning Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) platform — ensuring greater coordination, speed, and certainty across every phase of project delivery.

Reza is a trusted authority on New York City’s complex building codes and zoning regulations, helping clients navigate approvals with efficiency and clarity from concept to completion. His leadership contributed to the realization of the city’s evolving urban fabric – from high-end multifamily developments like 77 Charlton and Vantage, to adaptive reuse and next-generation commercial spaces like Empire Stores and Dock 72. With experience across multiple sectors and a specialized focus on multifamily, Reza’s work bridges visionary design with constructability, performance, and long-term value.
