September CET User of the Month – Corey Haitaian

CET rendering by Corey Haitaian

Corey Haitaian is a designer at PARTNR HAUS, a Kimball Select Dealer, based in Birmingham, Michigan. Following a career path in interior design was a natural fit for Corey because she loves everything about design from being creative to meeting with clients to designing spaces.

“I’m excited about design every day,” Corey said. “When we meet with clients, they are so excited about the design process and getting to redesign or refresh their space. They love it just as much as I do.”

Corey has used CET for almost four years. She uses it for creating renderings to show clients what a space will look like. She also uses CET for specifications, pricing and product comparisons.

Corey discovered CET while studying interior design at Eastern Michigan University. Corey launched her design career as an intern at PARTNR HAUS in 2019 which turned into a full-time role upon graduation. When Corey joined PARTNR HAUS, it was shortly after the company launched and she says it’s been exciting to be part of the growth journey.

“We’re growing and getting busier every day,” Corey said. “Our use for CET has grown so much and projects are getting bigger and more complex. The spaces we design are always tied to the client’s goals and CET helps us show how the products we pick connect with who they are as a company.”

In a recent project, Corey had the opportunity to use CET to help a client decide on an office to lease by pulling different spaces into CET to show what the furniture and space could look like. Ultimately, the client picked the space that Corey thought would best fit their needs.

“We used CET in the lease process to help the client determine which space would be best,” Corey said. “I applied new furniture to show what it could be and they loved it, which helped them envision their new space and imagine where they want their company to go.”

PARTNR HAUS chose CET because of Kimball transitioning to exclusively using CET and PARTNR HAUS wanted to be ready.

“CET brings the entire project together and offers an incredible way to show clients how products will look,” Corey said. “We love the renderings so much. They look so realistic and show all of our hard work.”

Corey’s best CET tip or trick is edit graphics. She says the feature is helpful in areas where it’s not possible to apply a finish. Another one of Corey’s favorite tips is replacing traditional flooring with white plastic which reflects the product and makes the rendering look clear and crisp.

“I love the edit graphics feature because there are a lot of details to capture in a design,” Corey said. “For example, we can customize fabrics and show them on a chair which helps us see if the fabric is in the right spot.”

These days when Corey isn’t designing spaces, you can find her searching for a house she can renovate one day. Corey also enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever named Dash, traveling and being outside.
