Sedia Systems’ JumpSeat Wins 2018 Australia Good Design Award
Sedia Systems’ JumpSeat garnered Australia’s Good Design Award® Best in Class in the Product Design category, the latest honor for the innovative space-saving seating collection. The award was presented at the Good Design Award’s 60th-anniversary celebration in Sydney’s Opera House on May 17.
The jury praised JumpSeat both for its strikingly beautiful design and clever functionality. “The seats create a gorgeous space when used as auditorium/theatre seating,” the jurors wrote. “Overall, this is an outstanding piece of design that meets a need in an elegant and innovative way. So simple in appearance and use, but fabulously clever in design and engineering.”
Sedia Systems introduced Ziba Design’s JumpSeat to the North American market at NeoCon 2012. JumpSeat debuted in the Australian market in 2017. As a Good Design Award® recipient, JumpSeat will be on display at Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas from May 25-27 at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay. It also will be featured in Sedia Systems’ showroom (suite 11-121) in The Mart during the 50th-anniversary NeoCon World’s Trade Fair on June 11-13, 2018.
