Scandinavian Spaces’ Management Team Visits Partner Brands During Stockholm Furniture Fair

The Stockholm Furniture Fair was bursting with the latest innovations within interior design for public spaces. New products, color palettes, materials, knowledge, and trends were on display.

“The experience of SFF defies bounds; it expands one’s view of the history and legacy of Scandinavian Design yet is disrupted the moment you arrive at this show; it is apparent that many global and Best Practice influences are grounded here. One only needs to look at the product of Scandinavian Spaces to participate in relevant co-creating and product thought ahead of the curve”. Bill Bouchey, Principal, Director of Design Interiors HOK in New York.

News from the fair consists of:

Alto, a beauty from all angles.

ALTO easy chair/sofa

Design: Mattias Stenberg for Materia, a Scandinavian Spaces partner.

Alto is a nicely manufactured, versatile piece. The design is characterized by simplicity, apparent in its shape and the flexibility with which you can combine a number of units to create larger arrangements. The undulating shape of its cushions, and the fact that the shape is visible from the inside and outside, further enhance the identity of this piece and shows off its beauty from all angles. An additional option is a pocket sewn into either end piece to hold magazines or menus. Alto comes as an easy chair, two seater, three seater or corner sofa.

Today day bed in bold red hues.

TODAY daybed

Design: Mia Cullin for Materia, a Scandinavian Spaces partner.

A flexible daybed characterized by an interesting contrast of textiles and steel. The austere, yet soft, design permeates the entire piece. Available extras are a bolster and a back cushion, both of which can be removed thanks to the beautifully upholstered buttons. The backrest can be mounted on either side. Today is suited for office spaces, lounges or rest areas.

What pattern do you prefer? Arc can be used in many vertical and horizontal configurations.

ARC sound absorber

Design: Stone Design for Blå Station, a Scandinavian Spaces partner.

Stone Design brings its third sound absorber to Blå Station. Arc is inspired by the arcades of the Colosseum in Rome and can be used in many vertical and horizontal configurations. The panels deflect sound as the reliefs absorb sound waves. Arc’s beauty also makes it applicable as a general wall treatment.

A sofa system providing almost unlimited options, constructed using the smallest possible number of modules.

BOB HOME modular sofa

Design: Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius for Blå Station, a Scandinavian Spaces partner.

Choose from straight sofas of varying length and corner sofas – or why not go for a generous armchair? BOB HOME is noticeably softer than the original, and a new slimmer armrest  helps contribute to its residential look. Perfect for use in the home as well as cafes, lounges, bars and restaurants.

Bob offers the architectonic freedom to either challenge or adhere to all types of spaces.
