Breathtakingly beautiful, Still Life makes a subtle statement that is sturdy enough for the busy bar, casual café, or sophisticated office.
Designed by Marcel Sigel for Scandinavian Spaces’ partner Blå Station, Still Life has become a beacon of design. Starting as a dining chair, the collection now includes counter and bar heights. The series offers various wood finishes, with or without an upholstered seat. Stackable, comfortable, and elegantly original – time stands still in Still Life.
“It’s all about exploiting technology to its limits and pushing the materials to extremes. The final product doesn’t scream for attention; it’s a simple, ordinary-looking chair, familiar yet unique – and, of course, super-comfy!” – Product designer Marcel Sigel.
With the ironic twist to the backrest, Marcel Sigel set out to create Still Life in all wood. Although the bent veneered wood curves to extremes, the wood flows effortlessly. The design creates an aqueous illusion – a material frozen in time.
