PIONEERING DESIGN: DESIGNING NEW REALITIES: CAITLIN BURNS

A HUMAN-CENTERED LOOK AT IMMERSIVE DESIGN: UNDERSTANDING THE PSYCHOLOGY OF VIRTUAL REALITY

Innovation happens when things that are separate get mixed. In 2017, Virtual Reality experiences will be everywhere from living rooms to department stores, car dealerships and hospitals. Itā€™s exciting to imagine spending time in an immersive virtual world but what does that mean for the person at the center of the experience?

Caitlin Burns, Producer and Vice Chair of the Producersā€™ Guild of America will take a human-centered look at the principles of immersive design: psychology, strategy and best practices to produce 3D, 360Ā° content for platforms like Oculus, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear, Google Cardboard and WebVR. She will explore how creators make meaningful, exciting experiences for these new platforms and how designers bring their visions to life.
