Sandler Seating announced today that the company’s stacking chair, Quo, captured an Iconic Award: Interior Innovation in the Furniture category. Quo is Sandler Seating’s newest stacking chair designed by Martin Ballendat for the Tonon Collection. The Iconic Awards, conceived by the German Design Council, is a design competition that represents the Council’s philosophy of improving the quality of environments through good design in every area. The Iconic Awards also recognize innovation in furniture and furniture design partners in industry, design and brand communication.
“We are so proud to be partnering with European manufacturers such as Tonon,” said Roy Sandler, CEO of Sandler Seating. “Like many of our design partnerships, we have more access to products such as Quo, which allows us to build an extensive collection of products and deliver innovative styles with relevant design to our U.S. market.”
Quo received the Best of Best in the Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation. A distinct silhouette, lightweight and soft to the touch, Quo is a perfect seating solution for almost any environment. Quo is made with low-density polyurethane foam and features a unique twist design, a signature style of Ballendat that connects the seat and seat back. Designed to complement today’s interior styles and trends, Quo is the ideal stacking chair for dining spaces, meeting rooms and conference areas.
Iconic World is an international networking platform for architects, designers and property developers within the furniture industry. The Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation competition is focused on connecting architecture and furnishings. The Iconic Awards ceremony took place at the international interiors show, Imm Cologne, in Cologne, Germany on January 17, 2016.
