Room & Board BI’s 🌷SPRING COLLECTION🌷 is here!

Room & Board’s newly launched contract division is at it again, merging residential style with commercial capabilities. Evoking the idea of ‘livable luxury’, Spring 2020 celebrates an alluring mix of hues, finishes, sustainable textiles and furniture for hospitality and workplace environments. Not to mention outdoor pieces so stunning you will want to use them indoors too.

A Celebration of Nature, Rich Earth Tones and ‘Livable Luxury’ for the Modern Contract Environment

Adding to its signature collection of contract-grade products, Room & Board Business Interiors (BI), the modern home furnishing company’s recently launched commercial arm, introduces The Spring Collection. A stunning curation of seating, ottomans, tables, outdoor and storage pieces, the Spring Collection brings the universal beauty of nature to the contract sphere.

Modern and timeless designs infused with colorful, organic hues, and rich textures and sustainable attributes, the new series balances the brand’s signature residential style with commercial capabilities.  The Spring Collection also highlights the craft and ingenuity behind the beloved Room & Board brand, and includes ANSI/BIFMA-tested furniture, ACT® performance textiles, and 5-and 10-year warranties. “We were inspired by the idea of ‘livable luxury’ and wanted to create a collection that embodied comfort and peace of mind,” said Nicole Gaynor, Business Interiors Customer Experience Manager. “The Spring Collection celebrates the beauty of natural and sustainable materials, like domestically-sourced white oak, in combination with sumptuous colors, fabrics and furniture.” Key to the collection is its embrace of color and texture, from warm, earthy palettes and classic neutrals to invigorating pops of color like tangerine and sapphire. The series is highlighted by lush hues of saffron, sage, and cognac, which show up as finish options on select products like the popular Slim Tables, Bowen Tables, Copenhagen Casegood Series, and Foshay Bookcases.

“Stretching color like taffy, we are pushing the palette in a subtle and measured way,” explains Jenon Bailie, Room & Board Merchandising and Design Director. “For us, it was about boosting color confidence and creating inviting tones that can be effortlessly combined with neutrals, finishes and materials. Color you can live with, color that stands the test of time, color for everyone and at every price point.”

Punctuating this sense of comfortable colorful luxury, ACT® performance textiles not only complement the sublime colorways, but are seamlessly integrated into all existing and new product lines for ease of specification. The Spring Collection features luxe and tactile fabrics like the Declan boucle, made from recycled water bottles; and outdoor fabrics like the plush Tristen velvet, crafted from durable moisture resistant outdoor polyester yarns; the Phipps bleach-cleanable basket weave; the Mist fade-resistant polypropylene woven from sustainable upcycled fibers; and the Vinna outdoor chenille stripe.

Merging aesthetics and durability, the Spring Collection’s wide array of products and product line additions are perfectly suited for the modern workplace and hospitality environments. Set to meet the demands of today’s business customer and specifier, many pieces are kept in-stock and available in as few as six days, and COM or custom items in as few as four weeks — unheard of lead times for the contract furniture market.
