Robert Allen Online Charity Auction Now Open For Bidding
The Custom Made Easy: Designer Series Benefits Dwell with Dignity While Showcasing Versatility of New Upholstered Chairs and Sofas
As part of its growing furniture program, Robert Allen is pleased to announce a special initiative that showcases its chairs and sofas while supporting a worthy cause. The Custom Made Easy: Designer Series selected local designers from ten markets and invited them to play with the newly introduced Robert Allen Custom Upholstered Chairs and Custom Sofas to create a unique-to-them piece. After being displayed in showrooms during the fall months, the pieces are now available to the public, being auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting Dwell with Dignity. This charity helps families escape poverty and homelessness by providing a high standard of living through beautiful, inspiring design. Although designers in the same city are using the same piece as their base, each finished product takes on its own look and aesthetic that represents the designer who created it.”
Each chair and sofa was displayed in one of Robert Allen’s corporate showrooms across the country during the fall. Now, the items are part of an online auction to support Dwell with Dignity (bit.ly/FurnitureAuction), allowing consumers to own a one-of-a-kind custom piece and demonstrating Robert Allen’s commitment to charity through design.
Weill continues, “Dwell with Dignity was a natural partner for this event. At Robert Allen, we believe that design can be empowering and inspiring, and Dwell with Dignity puts those tenets to use through their work growing communities and by helping people to enhance their living spaces. We’re honored to support them and are excited to expose a nationwide audience to this charity.”
