Robert Allen Launches Wallcovering Program with Line of Fabrics
New Program Allows Designers To Transform Their Favorite Fabrics For Use On Walls
Robert Allen has begun a new program that will allow designers to use their gorgeous array of fabrics in even more versatile ways. Through the new Paperbacked Wallcovering application, designers can convert almost any Robert Allen, Robert Allen Contract, or Beacon Hill textile into a beautiful wall treatment.
Robert Allen Sr Vice President of Marketing and Design Jennie Wilde explains, ”The designs, colors, and textures we offer at Robert Allen create truly special environments, and designers are always eager to find new ways to use their favorite fabrics. Our Paperbacked Wallcovering program will encourage even greater creativity and fresh, innovative use of fabric.”
The fabric is back laminated with a commercial grade strippable paper or nonwoven backing, engineered especially for wallcovering. Professional quality seams, along with enhanced thickness of the fabric and paper, aid in concealing problematic blemishes on wall surfaces. Additionally, paperbacked fabrics serve as insulators and acoustical aids, adding another functional benefit to their appeal.
The design advantages of the program are also tremendous. Designers can accentuate a room’s architectural character with rich textures and vibrant color schemes, and they may coordinate their upholstery and accent fabrics with the walls to complete a room’s ambiance.
