Luxury Italian furniture and architectural systems brand Rimadesio is celebrating strong growth on the heels of its 70th anniversary, reporting €49.3 million in earnings in the first half of 2026.
Amplifying the exciting growth is the launch of BECOMING, a year-long program showcasing Rimadesio’s 70-year history, innovation, and design transformation. Alongside an immersive installation created by Encor Studio that debuted during Milan Design Week, the brand is unveiling new initiatives, including:
-
A striking new, eight-piece collection designed by Art Director Giuseppe Bavuso. The longtime Rimadesio collaborator has shaped the brand’s distinctive design language, integrating contemporary aesthetics, technological innovation, and material excellence into a cohesive and lasting vision.
-
New Giussano, Italy headquarters designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS (Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel) that redefines the relationship between industry, landscape, and community. Conceived to be ever-evolving, much like the company itself, the project—nearly double the size of the previous premises—introduces advanced technological solutions for production and energy efficiency, giving shape to workspaces, exhibition areas, and places dedicated to training, art, and wellbeing.
BECOMING will activate across Rimadesio’s extensive distribution network, which makes up more than 90 monobrand showrooms, five directly managed flagship stores (New York, Miami, Milan, London, and Paris), and a network of selected dealers active worldwide. The second half of 2026 will see further expansion, with monobrand showroom openings in Chicago, Dubai, Tokyo, Johannesburg, and Jakarta, as well as an exclusive directly managed Flagship Store in Shenzhen.

Solid start to 2026 with rising order intake in the first half
In the first half of 2026, Rimadesio recorded a positive trend in sales volumes, with order intake of 49.3 million euros, up by approximately 6% compared to the same period of the previous year. Growth was driven above all by international markets, where exports increased by 9% and now account for over 70% of total sales. At the same time, the Italian market confirmed its stability at the levels of recent years, bucking industry forecasts that indicate a slowdown in industrial production for 2026.
On the international front, growth was sustained above all by the Gulf countries, in particular the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, as well as by the United Kingdom and Ireland. The performance of the US market, driven by the directly managed flagship stores in New York and Miami, and of Japan was also positive. Development also continued in markets historically consolidated for Rimadesio, such as China, Austria, France and Spain. Finally, while still representing a limited share of the overall business, emerging markets such as South Africa, Indonesia, Bulgaria and Nigeria showed particularly encouraging growth rates, confirming the progressive expansion of the brand’s international presence.
The half-year results confirm Rimadesio’s ability to consolidate its positioning in its reference markets, thanks to an increasingly structured sales network, ongoing investment in the development of innovative design solutions and an approach that places sustainability and quality at the heart of its strategy. Building on these foundations, the company approaches the second half of the year with a growth vision oriented towards international expansion and the promotion of Made in Italy design.
“The first-half results confirm the validity of the path we have taken in recent years. The growth we are recording is the result of a long-term strategy founded on continuous investment in the distribution network, in product innovation and in service quality. Expansion into international markets, together with the consolidation of the areas where the brand has long been present, demonstrates Rimadesio’s ability to interpret the needs of very different contexts, always keeping the values of design, research and sustainability at the center. We look to the second half of the year with confidence, aware that international development and the strengthening of our direct presence in the markets are fundamental levers for the company’s future growth.” – Davide Malberti, CEO of Rimadesio.
The Rimadesio distribution network, today made up of more than 90 Monobrand showrooms, five directly managed Flagship Stores and a network of selected dealers active worldwide, confirms the brand’s growth at an international level. Following the most recent openings of the sales outlets in Vienna, New Delhi, Rome and Los Angeles, the second half of 2026 will see numerous Monobrand showroom openings in Chicago, Dubai, Tokyo, Johannesburg and Jakarta, as well as an exclusive directly managed Flagship Store in Shenzhen.
“The opening of the new Shenzhen Flagship Store and the establishment of Rimadesio China LLC represent a strategic passage in our path of international growth. China is a market of great importance for Made in Italy design and, with a direct presence, we can further strengthen the relationship with our partners and offer customers an experience increasingly consistent with the brand’s values. This investment confirms our determination to consolidate a stable, long-term presence in an area that continues to offer significant development opportunities for Rimadesio.” – Luigi Malberti, CFO of Rimadesio.
Rimadesio also confirms its strategy of promoting a localized and highly qualified supply chain: 95% of its suppliers are based in Italy and 78% are concentrated in Lombardy. This model fosters close integration between the production partners and the company, helping to improve operational efficiency throughout the entire process. The main benefits include greater accuracy in order management, more effective procurement planning thanks to precise control of material availability, and continuous monitoring of production progress.

BECOMING
A project in several acts to celebrate 70 years of an evolving identity.
2026 represents a significant milestone for Rimadesio: seventy years of history, innovation and design vision. An anniversary that the company interprets as an opportunity for openness, giving form to a set of experiences designed to express the values that have guided its evolution.
BECOMING unfolds as a multifaceted experience, built around concrete and complementary initiatives:
– the evolution of the Rimadesio design collection, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso;
– an installation project, open to the public during the recent Milan Design Week 2026, with a dedicated artistic work created by Encor Studio;
– a new corporate headquarters, the Rimadesio Campus in Giussano, designed by ACPV Architects;
A system of narratives that intertwines project and vision, conveying the image of an identity in continuous becoming.
Davide Malberti, CEO, and Luigi Malberti, CFO of Rimadesio, state: “The 70 years of Rimadesio are an opportunity to tell the story of our history and of what we are today, retracing the stages of our transformation and opening our gaze to the challenges that lie ahead. With BECOMING we transform this energy into concrete projects: from the development of the collection to the new headquarters, every choice expresses our confidence in the future, our attention to people and our desire to interpret design as an experience in continuous evolution.”
The evolution of the Rimadesio collection
BECOMING is expressed first of all in the development of the Rimadesio collection, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, protagonist of a journey that for thirty-five years has consistently defined the company’s identity. Through Bavuso’s work, Rimadesio has built a precise and measured language, capable of integrating style, technology and industrial innovation into a coherent and enduring vision.
“The collaboration with Rimadesio is a journey that has been built over time, founded on a shared vision of the project and a profound coherence of values. In over thirty years of working together, design has become a tool for defining a precise and recognizable identity, capable of evolving without losing continuity. We have developed a language based on rigor, on the quality of materials and on technological innovation, interpreting the product as part of a broader system, in which technology and innovation themselves are industrial tools at the service of a unified vision”, states architect Giuseppe Bavuso, designer and art director of the Rimadesio collection.
The Rimadesio Campus in Giussano, by ACPV ARCHITECTS
BECOMING also tells the story of the new headquarters under construction in Giussano, designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, a project of regeneration of an existing production site that redefines the relationship between industry, landscape and community.
The project stems from the transformation and integration of pre-existing industrial buildings, as part of a broader territorial system, capable of generating new relationships between production, nature and culture. With an extension almost double that of the previous premises, the complex takes the form of a true campus, developed through a regeneration process that enhances the existing structures, recovering the original buildings. The project introduces advanced technological solutions for production and energy efficiency, giving shape to workspaces, exhibition areas and places dedicated to training, art and wellbeing. The project takes the landscape as a generative element: the presence of the existing trees and green areas with their biodiversity, the permeability of the open spaces and the continuity between interior and exterior all help to reconstruct a balanced relationship between architecture and environment, restoring ecological, spatial and intrinsic quality to a consolidated production area. A headquarters that concretely interprets a contemporary vision of the manufacturing industry, capable of combining innovation, sustainability and responsibility towards the territory.
Architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel state: “The Rimadesio Campus is a project conceived to evolve over time, like the company itself. It is the result of a regeneration process that brings together production, landscape and people, born from an ongoing dialogue with the client. A place that interprets a new idea of industry, technological and integrated, capable of generating value that is not only productive but also cultural and environmental.”
