
MKDA, a national design firm with renowned interior design studios in New York and Stamford and an innovative Miami architecture studio, announced that industry-veteran Richard Rudman has joined its New York office as Managing Director. In addition, Mr. Rudman’s boutique corporate design firm, Rudman Design, LLC will be merged into MKDA.
Mr. Rudman has over 35 years of experience in interior space planning, programming, design and project management. He has worked on offices, showrooms and educational facilities for clients that include Pirelli North America, Inc., Christine Valmy, Inc., e.l.f. Cosmetics, Catalyst, Rent Stabilization Associates, Karl Lagerfeld and Krizia. Mr. Rudman will continue to bring his expertise and superior service to his long-standing clients while at MKDA.

Prior to founding Rudman Design in 2012, Mr. Rudman was Executive Vice President of New York-based DPM Architecture, where he managed key accounts and a significant portion of DPM’s portfolio. Before that, he was Founder and Director of Architecture of a large New York-based design-build firm. While there, he secured large-scale corporate headquarters assignments for Chubb & Son, Rothschild, Inc, The Hertz Corporation and Weight Watchers Inc.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rudman co-designed multiple Progressive Architecture award-winning projects including the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and worked with internationally prominent designers and architects Stanley Tigerman, Tom Beeby and Emilio Ambasz. He earned a Masters in Architecture from University of Illinois and a B.Arch. from Ohio State University. During his university years, he was one of a select few to be invited to apply for the Rome Prize in Architecture.
