Sharing the latest workplace design from Moody Nolan: the Columbus, Ohio office location for Gilbane, one of the largest privately held and family-owned construction and real estate development firms in the industry. Completed earlier this year, the 12,000 square foot space celebrates the craft of construction and connection to the Columbus community through the creation of a people-first workplace.
Located in the vibrant arts district of Columbus’s Franklinton neighborhood, the office
features a blend of open and private workspaces, a work café, a social lounge, and a spacious visual design and technology studio. Some notable elements of the project include:
- Space planning strategies and transparent interior finishes, such as all-glass office fronts, maximize daylight throughout the office floorplate and foster employee connection and wellbeing.
- A history wall showcases the extensive work Gilbane has completed in the Columbus region, highlighting the company’s local roots, industry leadership, and people-first culture.
- Flexible meeting spaces support the value of teamwork and promote a variety of collaboration and work postures––a requirement in today’s workplace landscape.
- The design leaves building construction elements exposed, masked, or reimagined to show the intersection between the modern office and the construction site.
