OFM, one of the nation’s leading office and school furniture manufacturers and distributors, recently announced the company’s president, Blake Zalcberg, has been named to Woodworking Network’s 2016 Wood Industry 40 Under 40 list.

“It is an honor to be included among so many industry-leading professionals,” said Zalcberg, who has headed OFM since 2012 and previously served as chief operating officer. “These honorees are shaping the next generation of an entire industry, and I’m proud to be recognized among them.”

Selected by a team of editors at Woodworking Network, the annual award recognizes industry professionals who are having a major impact on their business, the manufacturing field and the community as a whole.

Under Zalcberg, the family-run company based in North Carolina recently opened four new distribution centers in California, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Washington state; pioneered office and school furniture featuring built-in charging stations with AC outlets and USB ports; and partnered with fabric companies to dramatically expand custom-design options, among other things. Zalcberg’s writings on educational and workplace design can regularly be seen in the Huffington Post and industry-focused publications.

Zalcberg serves as the chief visionary and marketer of the company. He regularly travels to China, Taiwan and Mexico to meet with manufacturers working on OFM product lines.

“The office and school furniture industry is changing yearly, if not monthly,” added Zalcberg. “I am thrilled to be in the middle of a very dynamic time helping OFM continue growing as it has over the last 20 years.”
