Celebrating Four Decades of Leadership, Mentorship, and Passion

After more than 40 years of dedicated leadership, Karen Wehner, Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering’s Director of Western Sales, will retire this August. An instrumental force in building the company’s sales organization from the ground up, Wehner pioneered new territories and played a pivotal role in growing Momentum into the industry leader it is today.
As one of Momentum’s earliest hires, Wehner joined Momentum in 1985 as an Outside Sales Representative in Orange County. She quickly established herself as an exceptional performer, expanding her coverage across multiple states and earning the President’s Award of Excellence in 1999. In 2014, Wehner was promoted to Director of Western Sales and led her region to incredible success, including being named Region of the Year in 2024. Throughout her tenure, she consistently ranked among the top sales reps year after year.
Wehner’s impact extends well beyond her remarkable sales achievements. She trained and mentored countless team members, helping develop a small team of reps into a robust, best-in-class sales force and fostering a culture grounded in integrity and excellence.
Wehner also founded Momentum’s beloved Comfort Quilts program, which began as her personal project — sewing quilts from the brand’s discontinued fabrics and samples to support organizations in need. Now a thriving and meaningful company-wide initiative, it stands as one of many ways her legacy will live on. Her passion for textiles, deep commitment to the company, and inspiring leadership have left an enduring mark that will shape Momentum for years to come.
