Lumens, the premier online destination for luxury home design, announces the appointment of Dana Gers as Chief Marketing Officer. Reporting to CEO Laura Walsh, Gers brings extensive experience leading DTC, luxury fashion, and retail to the position and will oversee the company’s growing e-commerce and full-stack marketing as it expands its North American presence.
“Dana’s extensive background in luxury retail makes her an exceptional fit as our CMO, especially as we continue to pursue our strategy of becoming the preferred resource for luxury design aficionados and the architecture and design trade,” says CEO Laura Walsh of Gers’ hiring. “Her strength in brand strategy, digital marketing, and team leadership, combined with in-depth experience developing marketing programs to drive sales, customer acquisition, and retention, will be pivotal as we continue to elevate our brand and scale our business.”
Gers, a marketing veteran of online luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter, will apply her experience to Lumens’ marketplace model, where more than 425 high-end home design brands are sold. In addition to Net-A-Porter, Gers’ storied career includes marketing leadership positions at Aritzia, Jimmy Choo, Ferragamo, and Baccarat.

A design and interiors superfan, Gers has pursued certificate programs at the New York School of Interior Design and the UCLA School of Architecture and Interior Design.
