Flokk, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of workspace seating, has appointed Jason Harmsey as Head of US Operations, effective July 1, 2026.
Jason Harmsey joins Flokk at an important moment in the company’s growth journey. North America has become Flokk’s largest market, accounting for nearly half of the Group’s revenue following a series of strategic acquisitions, including Via Seating, Stylex, and most recently Spec Furniture. 2025 delivered 10 percent growth, reaching NOK 4.7 billion in revenue. This growth was primarily driven by strong development in the US market.
“We are seeing a clear shift in the market, with North America becoming our most important growth engine. By the end of 2025, 40 percent of our revenue came from the US market, and following our last acquisition, close to 50 percent of Group revenue is now generated in North America. The appointment underscores Flokk’s continued commitment to strengthening its position and accelerating growth across the region,” said Henning Karlsrud, Group CEO of Flokk.
Harmsey brings more than two decades of leadership experience across sales, marketing, product management, and business development within the commercial furniture and ergonomic seating industry.

Most recently, Harmsey served as Vice President of Global Sales at Humanscale, where he delivered double-digit revenue growth over two consecutive years, significantly accelerating the company’s commercial performance. During his tenure, he received two Presidents Club awards in recognition of outstanding results. He also played a key role in launching Humanscale’s first sustainability-focused chair, helping expand the company’s product portfolio into new markets. By applying innovative design principles, utilizing recyclable materials, and advancing net-positive carbon initiatives, he contributed to creating a product that aligned environmental responsibility with commercial growth.
Prior to joining Humanscale in 2016, Harmsey held several senior commercial leadership positions at Seating (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, ultimately serving as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
