Company partners with five leading upholstery firms to offer more custom-design options

OFM, one of the nation’s leading office and school furniture manufacturers and distributors, announced today it has partnered with five leading fabric companies to dramatically expand its upholstery options. OFM renewed its existing program to help better meet the needs of customers wanting more design options, beyond OFM’s already extensive selection, to create the perfect custom look.

“Our renewed fabrics program makes it easy to choose from hundreds of high-grade upholstery on nearly every seating option we offer. While our standard fabric selection is top-notch, there are times when an interior design project requires something very specific, whether that’s a nonstandard color or a more textured material,” said Blake Zalcberg, chief executive officer of OFM. “And with this new program, our dealers can custom-design any of our in-stock chairs with just a single purchase order.”

Under the renewed textile Grade-In & COM (Customer’s-Own-Material) Program, clients can select alternative textiles for all of OFM’s in-stock seating choosing from a wide collection of fabrics by CF Stinson, Momentum Group, Mayer Fabrics, Culp Contract and Douglass Industries. After making their selection, customers can use OFM’s purchase process to arrange to have the correct amount of fabric sent directly to OFM to be applied during the manufacturing process, allowing them to have just one purchase order for the entire transaction from the product choice to the textile upgrade.

The average lead time is 10 to 12 weeks from the arrival of the fabric at the factory. All patterns meet standards set by the Association for Contract Textiles and the Business + Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association. OFM has made finding the perfect pattern easy and placing an order simple and convenient.

“Every interior design project is unique and sometimes you need to create a look that’s totally unique to your space,” added Zalcberg. “We want to make sure that people who love our furniture can find what they need with any design project they embark on.”
