Wilkhahn introduces new chair and table combination

Occo is a highly versatile yet easily identifiable chair and table collection from Wilkhahn, the world-renowned German office design manufacturer. Designed by Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub, Occo is ideal for workplace cafés and multi-purpose areas.

The Occo Chair offers 72 customizable alternatives, with four frames, six shell colors and three types of cushioning, as well as a comprehensive collection of felt, fabric and leather covers for additional options. The swivel-mounted, four-star base is optimal for conference rooms, while the four-leg, solid oak frame brings residential influences to meeting spaces and showrooms. The five-star base with swivel castors also enables a quick change of settings. Integrated seat cushioning brings breathability and splashes of color, and additional side and back cushioning on the inside add comfort and enhance its residential-inspired character. The chair’s stackability and flexibility are fitting for open-plan spaces, and its appearance remains airy, lightweight and transparent. With a rigid seat but exceptionally flexible back, the Occo chair achieves maximum comfort while offering a diverse selection of customizable options.

The Occo Table also offers a range of tabletop materials and finishes, with a choice of square, rectangular, and oval formats that seamlessly complement the overall design. The tubular steel table frame can come with swivel castors and mirrors the contours of the star base. Tabletop options come in bonded-surface plywood, MDF panels with real wood veneers, through-dyed HPL (High Pressure Laminate) panels, and solid oak. The frame can be chrome-plated or coated in white or black.

With Occo, Wilkhahn presents highly scalable solutions to the functional and design challenges presented in modern working and living environments. The settings offer customizable concepts and remarkable variety while maintaining a consistent design identity. As a result, the range provides the A+D community with aesthetically appealing, exceptionally comfortable and versatile designs with a united presence.

The range will be available beginning 2017, mixing comfort, utility and custom capabilities with symbolic design.
