Now Available: SFMOMA Construction Time-Lapse

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) recently underwent a major transformation and will officially open its doors to the public on May 14, 2016. EarthCam’s DSLR megapixel construction camera was onsite to document each stage of the project and can been seen with its newest time-lapse movie.

The Snøhetta-designed expansion will more than double the museum’s exhibition space and seamlessly integrates the existing and the new to create a welcoming and unique environment to experience modern and contemporary art. The expanded building is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification, thanks to the use of green building materials and systems.

Watch and share EarthCam’s hand-edited time-lapse movie of construction for SFMOMA.
