Nora Lighting Fixtures Now Viewable as 3D Revit/BIM Files Through Autodesk
Nora Lighting announces the availability of new online Revit/BIM 3D modeling files featuring many of the company’s popular lighting lines. The files are available through Autodesk at seek.autodesk.com.
Revit/BIM files are designed for architects, engineers and lighting specifiers who work with Autodesk CAD programs. The files allow users to create real-world 3D renderings that integrate lighting fixtures into a building’s design and construction.
“Revit’s real-world renderings allow more precise plans,” reported Fred Farzan, president and CEO of Nora Lighting.
“Through Revit 3D modeling, architects and designers can strategically place Nora fixtures, while also seeing where other internal systems are located, such as HVAC, so there won’t be system overlaps within walls and ceilings,” he said.
“Nora’s Revit files present a clear picture of each fixture’s properties, such as beam spread and how a room will be illuminated. By placing Nora products into Revit/BIM renderings, the design process becomes more productive and precise,” said Farzan.
Nora products that are available with Revit/BIM files include: Cobalt, Iolite, Marquis and Sapphire LED recessed downlights; Aiden LED track light and LED wall wash fixtures; Multiple Lighting System downlights; Edge-Lit LED Panels; Revo automated track lights, along with the track itself.
Each Nora Revit file features a range of product specifics, such as: aperture, CRI, lumens, lamp type, wattage, dimensions, finishes, industry standards and more.
Revit and BIM (Building Information Modeling) systems help architects and designers bring ideas from concept to construction with a coordinated and consistent model-based approach in one unified interface. The ease of making changes inspired the name Revit, a contraction of Revise-It.
