As some other furniture manufacturers increase prices because of the ongoing tariff battles, Nook Pod USA remains deeply committed to its mission of bringing calming, sanctuary-filled spaces to public environments across the country without adding a price increase.
While much of the Nook family is now proudly made in the U.S., many items continue to be made in the U.K. Despite ongoing changes to import tariffs, Nook does not intend to increase its prices or add a “tariff surcharge” to existing quotes. Working closely with its manufacturing partners, Nook intends to work to absorb any fluctuations in cost to ensure its products remain accessible and pricing remains predictable.
“Affordability is central to our purpose — helping create inclusive, peaceful environments in schools, workplaces, stadiums and public spaces,” said Nook’s Stewart Brown. “Our customers and distribution partners should not have to absorb price increase because of ongoing tariff conflicts. We will continue to keep our mission front and center in all decisions we make.”
A range of companies — from small businesses to major national brands — have already raised prices, attributing the increases to tariffs. Meanwhile, others, including footwear and furniture companies, are cautioning customers to expect more price hikes in the near future. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told CNBC that he anticipates the tariffs will drive up prices across a variety of consumer goods, as many third-party sellers on the platform are likely to pass on the added costs.
Nook recently reduced prices on some of its most popular models and moved production on some of its products to a U.S. manufacturing facility.
