Developing Rising Talent in Hospitality—Submit Your Application by November 15
NEWH, Inc. (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality), a premier association committed to advancing education, mentorship, and networking in the hospitality industry, is now accepting applications for its third annual Martha’s Mentors Program. This transformative 10-month initiative connects emerging hospitality professionals with seasoned leaders, fostering relationships that inspire growth, guidance, and opportunity.
Named in honor of Martha Tillim (December 2, 1942 – June 17, 2023)—a respected industry veteran, beloved mentor, and past board member of NEWH’s Washington D.C. Chapter—the program continues her legacy of generosity, knowledge sharing, and professional empowerment. Designed to nurture future leaders in hospitality, the program offers early-career professionals the opportunity to be paired with accomplished mentors who have excelled in their field. Through monthly 70-minute sessions, each mentor-mentee pair builds a foundation for growth, focusing on career advancement, leadership skills, industry knowledge, and networking. Key program pillars include:
-Career Advancement: Equipping mentees with skills and strategies to grow within the hospitality industry.
-Leadership Development: Building leadership capacity in both mentors and mentees to shape the industry’s future.
-Industry Knowledge: Sharing critical insights, trends, and expertise to navigate the evolving hospitality landscape.
-Networking: Expanding mentees’ professional circles through meaningful connections.
To further strengthen their professional journey, mentees are also encouraged to give back by volunteering 10 hours with NEWH during their mentorship year—reinforcing a spirit of service and community engagement. Applications are open through November 15, 2025, for mentees who are active NEWH members with fewer than five years of professional experience. Candidates are selected based on their passion, commitment, and potential for growth. In tandem, NEWH invites seasoned professionals to apply as mentors, offering an opportunity to shape the next generation of leaders while engaging in mutual learning and professional enrichment.
“The Martha’s Mentors Program is a cornerstone of NEWH’s mission,” said Chris Tucker, CEO of NEWH, Inc. “It empowers early-career professionals with guidance, industry insights, and networking opportunities while honoring Martha Tillim’s incredible legacy of mentorship and leadership. We’re proud to help foster meaningful connections that build the next generation of hospitality leaders.”
