New Renewal Series from Tarkett Inspires Rejuvenation in Senior Living Environments

A worldwide leader in sustainable and innovative flooring solutions, Tarkett is launching a new soft surface collection that invites the serenity of nature into spaces designed for healing and rejuvenation. From flora and fauna to tree canopies and trellises, the Renewal Series is designed to calm and refresh—providing a much-needed escape from the hectic rush of daily life.

“In Japanese, the term shinrin-yoku translates to ‘forest bathing,’ or absorbing the forest atmosphere. The goal of forest bathing is to live in the present moment and boost your sense of well-being, while immersing yourself in the calming benefits of a natural setting,” said Tommy Keener, senior design director for Tarkett North America. “Through the Renewal Series, designers and facilities personnel can bring a sense of calm and curiosity into their spaces, making every day feel almost like a walk in the forest.”

The Renewal Series includes six styles in 12 colorways, available in modular carpet or Powerbond® hybrid resilient sheet. Five coordinating tufted broadloom patterns can also be tailored with a customer’s specific color selections. And with Tarkett’s Solution SPECtrum™, designers can access Tarkett’s full palette of colors, patterns and textures that work together visually across multiple product categories—creating the perfect balance for people, planet and performance.

Whether in modular carpet, hybrid resilient sheet, or tufted broadloom, the Renewal Series features a number of proprietary technologies that contribute to a healthier indoor environment, faster installation, easier maintenance, and a healthier planet.

  • Tarkett’s Dynex SD® premium fiber system includes Eco-Ensure™, a fluorine-free soil protection technology that lowers cost of maintenance and creates healthier spaces by promoting better indoor air quality with low-VOC emissions.
  • Tarkett’s carbon-neutral ethos® Modular with Omnicoat Technology® prevents moisture, pH, or previous adhesives from affecting the floor installation. When combined with TarkettTAPE®, ethos can be installed without moisture testing, saving one to three days of installation time.
  • Powerbond is a carbon-neutral, hybrid resilient flooring offering the look and feel of carpet and the performance of resilient. Powerbond seams are chemically welded to create an impermeable, wall-to-wall moisture barrier and provide for enhanced ease of soil and stain removal. It also contributes to a calmer environment with a 0.22 Noise Reduction Coefficient and a 68 Impact Insulation Class.

Tarkett has a full digital library of carpet patterns that can be tailored to a customer’s exact needs—while maintaining quick lead times and low minimums. With a variety of designs to support any style, this library allows customers to select a unique pattern, choose a custom Dynex SD yarn palette, and have their creation produced with Tarkett’s high-definition, state-of-the-art tufting technology.
