New Must-See (and Feel) Textiles from Designtex

Puffer

Collage

Puffer and Collage , the newest products from Designtex, examine the interplay between color, pattern, texture, and tactility in textile design. Their monochromatic colorways highlight the relationship between the surface and materiality of the fabric, featuring subtle designs that engage both pattern lovers and those who prefer a quieter approach. Both will make their debut at the Designtex showroom in Fulton Market during Chicago Design Days in June.

Leading with touch, Puffer’s velvet surface bursts with structural texture and playful dimension. The haptic pattern – evocative of moss – balances softness with depth, bringing bold energy and everyday performance to hospitality, workplace and other settings. Three distinctive colorways – Teal, Poodle, and Moss – bring a richness to the design, while a fourth, Cloud, brings a feeling of visual and tactile softness.

Collage is inspired by a hand-assembled study of shape and proportion translated into a dimensional woven textile. Layered geometry and a tone-on-tone pattern create depth through restraint, while softened edges preserve the human touch. Proving that a pattern can be both understated and impactful, Collage delivers performance-driven luxury with quiet confidence.
