New Acoustic Lighting Solution Reaches Scale Unseen in Industry

LightArt Rapidly Expanding In-Demand Acoustic Collection

Award-winning lighting manufacturer, LightArt, is excited to launch an expansion to their Acoustic Collection. The collection, which began with two signature acoustic fixtures, is growing in 2018 to incorporate three more shapes into the mix. The new designs are scalable to a size unseen in acoustic lighting to date, and can be used in a variety of large-scale applications to relieve sound issues in densely populated, large indoor spaces.

“We see public spaces as environments that pose many acoustic challenges that are still unsolved,” said Ryan Smith, President of LightArt. “We hope that these shapes and scales will solve those issues. ”

The new shapes include a wide-shade ring, a box and a drum. Using some of the highest efficiency LED modules on the market, the new designs offer two directional lighting and have 1% dimming capabilities. All fixtures are made of 40% recycled PET Sola felt, are available in 15 color options, and come with an adjustable 24 inch to 96 inch suspension system with custom lengths available. Acoustic performance ranges from 20 sabins per fixture to more than 250 sabins per fixture.

Each shape is available in a variety of size options—more than 40 in total. Ranging from 22 inches in diameter and 12 inches high, to an expansive 16 foot diameter and 48 inches high, LightArt’s new Acoustic Shapes are suitable for a range of spaces.

Merging acoustics with lighting allows ceiling and wall surfaces to remain visible and free of clunky traditional acoustic treatment, and the introduction of large-scale acoustic fixtures offers a solution to problematic public spaces.
