National Business Furniture Names New CEO Marcelo Podesta
National Business Furniture (NBF) has named Marcelo Podesta as its new president, as of August 10. Podesta brings extensive management experience in the retail and furniture industry to his new leadership role at the company.
Podesta’s most recent role was as general manager at Art Van Furniture, a furniture retail chain based in Detroit where he led new market territories and modernized operations. He also served as chief merchandising and supply chain officer at Brookstone where he led the company’s transformation from a mall-based retailer into a product-focused company with a strong digital presence.
As National Business Furniture’s new president, Podesta will leverage his extensive web and sales experience to help the company continue its omnichannel growth strategy. Podesta joins NBF at a time when the very nature of work, specifically where and how people work, is changing. Leveraging the company’s 45 years of experience in furnishing workspaces, Podesta will help expand NBF’s reach in order to help people create amazing spaces to work —whether at home or at the office.
“I’m honored and energized by the opportunity to lead this team of talented individuals as we work together to build on NBF’s solid foundation of quality and customer satisfaction,” said Podesta.
