The “design bug” touched Haley Koszegi at a young age when she learned to appreciate design from her father, an architect. Her love of design grew as she continued her education through high school and now at Eastern Michigan University where she’s studying interior design.

EMU’s design program participates in CET Designer’s Education Program in which CET Designer is free to professors and students. The program opens up more job opportunities for students because they’re able to experience the world of commercial furniture.

Haley first learned CET Designer from Diane Guervara, the instructor in EMU’s third-year corporate interior design studio course where students participate in a Steelcase student design competition.

Currently interning in the Dallas office of bkm Total Office of Texas, Haley has been using CET Designer not only in the classroom and but also on the job.

“CET Designer has changed the way I work, and it is easy to use. The renderings are fast, easy and come out so beautifully. I love this program, and I’ve developed professionally using CET Designer over this past year,” she said.

Haley’s best CET Designer tip is “to never be afraid to use the help button or contact support. The CET Designer support team is amazing, and they will not give up until your problem is solved,” she said.

Last fall, Haley submitted a CET Designer rendering to Steelcase’s Next competition. She was tasked with designing an office space that featured a work cafe, collaboration areas and different-sized conference rooms. Her arrow concept (see rendering) represents moving forward toward openness and collaboration.

When Haley isn’t designing, she can be found on the softball diamond, either playing on her adult coed team or coaching girls ages 10 to 14.
