Lorna Marcuzzo always knew she wanted to work in a creative field.
“With interior design, you can truly touch peoples’ everyday lives with your work,” said Lorna, who received her bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and design from Drexel University in Pennsylvania. “Design is constantly changing, and there is always something new to see, learn, develop and try. I never do the same thing two days in a row.”
She’s been using CET Designer for the past five years. She works in the marketing department at Price Modern, a Haworth dealership headquartered in Baltimore. Based in Dallas, she travels to Baltimore every month to meet with her team.
She uses CET Designer to create photorealistic renderings for high-profile clients and accounts. She also uses the software to develop fly-thru videos for potential spaces and designs. “It truly makes a solution come to life,” Lorna said.
Lorna has been a presenter at past CET Designer User Conferences. She’s also an award recipient: In the 8th annual Best of CET Designer Awards, Lorna received first place in the video category.
“The video that I submitted is of the global headquarters for Marriott Hotels, located in Bethesda, Maryland,” Lorna said. “It’s one of my favorite projects that I’ve worked on, and I was able to show almost the entire floor in 30 seconds by combining short video clips and telling a story of the space.”
Having previous experience in 3D rendering helped Lorna when transitioning to using CET Designer. Her biggest challenge was getting used to designing and specifying in the same program.
“CET Designer has streamlined the way we work, from developing an initial design concept, to specifying, to ordering,” Lorna said. “Clients still can’t believe how closely their installed projects resemble the finished renderings that they signed off on.”
Even after five years of using CET Designer, Lorna says her best CET Designer tip is to use Configura’s instant chat support.

In her spare time, Lorna enjoys exploring Dallas with her partner and their two dogs.
