Envisioned by designer Michael Sodeau and produced in partnership with Modus in South Somerset, UK, Modus Bob is the latest product launch from Studio TK. The ideal inanimate workplace companion inspiring inclusivity and connection, Bob is warm and tactile and made entirely from waste materials generated during the production of wine bottle corks.
Bob’s not just cute, he’s green, too:
-Bob is renewable, compostable, easily recycled, carbon-positive, hydrophobic, and sound-dampening.
-When Bob reaches the end of its useful life, it can be recycled into a new product or composted, enriching the soil.
-The cork oak forests of the Mediterranean, where Bob derives its recycled cork from, are biodiversity hotspots. Cork oaks can be stripped of their cork every 9 years without causing permanent damage to the tree–making cork a truly regenerative material.
