Join 200 Lex for a special celebration of design in New York City May 13-19, 2021

In celebration of “NYCxDesign’s Design Days” event, the New York Design Center will host a series of programming highlighting the building’s showrooms, new product introductions and its rich 95-year history, hosted virtually and in-person from May 13-19, 2021.

In conjunction with the first day of the event on May 13th, the New York Design Center will celebrate its 100 showrooms featuring the finest luxury design resources. As the city’s most comprehensive design center, 200 Lex showcases furniture, fabric, accessories, lighting, kitchen and bath, flooring, decorative accessories and more.

While in the building, stop by The Gallery at 200 Lex powered by Incollect located on the 10th floor. The impressive 33,000 square- foot gallery space is home to 50 vintage and antique dealers, open to the design trade and public. All products are available for immediate purchase and delivery or pick-up onsite.

May 17: View from the Veranda with Jinny Blom

In conjunction with London Design Week 2021, the New York Design Center, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and the Horticultural Society of New York will present a special episode of View from the Veranda with renowned British garden designer Jinny Blom. May 17: Shop Talk with The Gallery at 200 Lex

Hosted via Instagram Live, Shop Talk offers insight into The Gallery’s curated collection of 50+ dealers. Hosted by Emily Collins, the Director of the Gallery at 200 Lex powered by Incollect, each conversation highlights an esteemed dealer to discuss their space, fresh inventory and how they hunt down the most interesting and eclectic pieces in the vintage and antique market. Join live with Francis Lord of Milord Antiques on May 17th at 5:30pm on Instagram, @NYDC.

May 18: Behind the Pages

Premiering during NYCxDesign Design Days, the New York Design Center will introduce Behind the Pages, a video series offering an inside look at a recently published project. Bringing together the people who brought the story to life, Behind the Pages takes a deep dive behind-the-scenes offering a rare opportunity to take a second look at a favorite project. The series’ debut episode includes New York Magazine’s Wendy Goodman, award-winning interior designer Keita Turner and apartment homeowner, Cassandra Bromfield, to discuss the recent renovation of Cassandra’s 1960’s Brooklyn Co-op. The series will premiere on the New York Design Center YouTube channel on May 18th.

May 19: 6th Floor Spring Open House

Join the New York Design Center’s 6th floor showrooms on May 19th from 11:00am-4:00pm for a spring celebration event inviting designers and design-loving consumers to preview the floor’s new neighbors, products, and collection vignettes. A tradition to welcome the warm weather and longer days, stop by Fromental, Global Views, Harbinger New York, Interlude Home, Julian Chichester, Kasthall Rugs USA Inc., Leftbank Art, Palecek, Pindler and Studio A Home.
