For years, I have looked to the Association as an entity that truly represents commercial interior design. It also provides an international platform for those individuals that are willing to dedicate their time to pushing the profession forward, providing valuable research and insight to our clients, and allowing students to learn more about the interior design profession.”

Tom Powers, an Executive Director of the firm, commented that “Marlene is a tremendous leader and her talent and expertise in our field is unprecedented.  I am confident that she will serve IIDA with the same dedication and passion that is her hallmark at IA; and that designers around the world will come to know her as we do – a true leader in the design profession.”

“Marlene’s passion for design, her leadership at top global firms, and her expertise in the industry make her the ideal candidate to serve as the next President,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S.
