Mancini Hires Dana Miarmi in its Commitment to Expanding Opportunities

Design firm’s new hire looks to expand opportunities within manufacturing and New Jersey

Mancini Duffy is pleased to announce Dana Miarmi, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSSMBB), has joined the firm as a senior associate and managing director. With over 15 years of extensive experience, Miarmi is LEED AP certified and joins the firm after eight years at SAA Interiors + Architecture. She has a wide array of project experience focusing on industrial and manufacturing buildings and interiors. Mancini’s been committed to growing during COVID-19 and the firm looks forward to utilizing Miarmi’s rich expertise and technical process-driven skillset to help the firm grow within the manufacturing sector and expand its reach in New Jersey.

“At Mancini, we have spent the last six years diversifying our business into multiple new sectors and practice areas, including aviation, hospitality and industrial,” said Christian Giordano, president. “Dana’s focus will be to grow our industrial practice, concentrating on e-commerce, manufacturing, distribution, and beyond. Our vision is to integrate Mancini’s process using the patent pending technology we have authored into the world of industrial buildings.”

Miarmi graduated from The Catholic University of America where she earned both her Bachelors of Science and Masters in Architecture with a concentration in Digital Fabrication Technology. She graduated Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude from the graduate program. Miarmi began her career working on regional and international ground-up projects for Gensler’s Washington, DC, office for five years and then joined its Aviation Studio in New York City working with clients like Delta and JetBlue. Director of Projects and Development in SAA’s New Jersey office for the past eight years, Miarmi managed East Coast architectural and interior design and commercial projects. From Georgia to Rhode Island, she worked with a large aerospace manufacturing company to build a new ground-up 500,000-square-foot facility in Savannah, Georgia, where the client later built their next-generation aircraft. She also worked with a similar client to design a 200,000-square-foot facility for their next generation of submarines. Miarmi has worked with several New Jersey-based pharmaceutical, industrial, and manufacturing clients such as Glebar, Stryker, SAS Stressteel, Sanofi Aventis, and Partners Pharmacy.

“Mancini is a firm whose commitment to creativity and visionary strategic thinking aligns with my own. This was a perfect cultural fit for me and I’m excited to be working with the team and establishing a local Red Bank presence,” Miarmi said.

Miarmi assists clients by conducting an interactive 360 Design Session in the Design Lab where we collectively plan process-driven facilities in real-time, helping to solve potential solutions before they even arise. “Once we’ve laid out the equipment, we are able to render this in real time and walkthrough using Virtual Reality and other visualization tools,” she said.
