Luum Textiles has launched Earthbound, a chenille upholstery textile that tells the story of renewal. Inspired by rich, colorful landscapes, Earthbound is one of five textiles from Luum’s Five Elements collection, which launched in September, and the eighth textile to join the Garment Waste Platform—containing fabrics crafted from pre- and post-consumer garment waste.
The recycled straight and wool chenille yarns are woven into a dimensional, earthy surface texture with multicolor flecks. Visually and physically tactile, Earthbound shares yarn components with Melange Check, Wool Fleck, Graph Speck, Everyday Boucle, Forward Motion, and Stability—fellow Garment Waste textiles that make coordinating color palettes easy across the 16 available colorways.
