Luna Textiles Introduces Spring 2020 “Off the Grid” Collection

Inspired by off-the-grid communities that pledge to live more sustainable lives all over the world and playing on their history of offering forward thinking solutions for today’s commercial interiors, Luna Textiles brings its dynamic design ethos to life in five new fabric patterns this Spring.

In this spirit, Luna has designed a collection of grid-inspired textures that pull from the principles of off-the-grid sustainable, low-cost living. Comprising three upholstery fabrics and two wallcoverings, Luna merges metropolitan and rural influences to create a mix of high performance, sustainability minded, and value-driven textiles with recycled and/or bio-based materials at the heart of their design.

Metro took inspiration from New York’s subway tiles, this urban texture features a refined yet durable woven structure that is sure to withstand any high-traffic environment. Engineered for both upholstery and panel applications, this contemporary fabric is offered in 25 trend-led colors.

Beacon is a true mix of the natural and the engineered, this hospitality focused fabric features a bi-color, crocheted novelty yarn which adds to creating a sequined shimmer effect. Sustainable and fashion-forward, this unique construction contains Recover®, “upcycled” cotton created from pre-consumer apparel waste and is available in 10 sophisticated colorways.

Mason is a luxuriously felted wool with a colorful grid design, Mason’s distinct construction and vibrant yarns are beautifully diffused by the felting process. Comprised of 100% bio-based and rapidly renewable content, its 7 earthenware inspired colorways are sure to add warmth and nuance to any commercial or cross-over project.

As Luna’s next generation in value driven, high performance wallcovering, Lumina has a smooth and lustrous finish featuring a pearlescent polyethylene tape yarn. This sharp and clean construction is offered in an essential neutral, 7-color palette, which is sure to add style and performance to any interior wall.

Offered as a counterpoint to Lumina’s smooth surface, Candela brings texture, luster and performance to Luna’s Wallcovering combination. Comprised of a mix of matte and lustrous yarns, Candela provides a subtle sheen across its crepe-like surface and is offered in 9 neutral colors.

With such a variety of textures and designs to choose from; ‘Off the Grid’ offers diversity that can be mixed and matched together with their complementary color palettes.
