LSM Makes Big Changes: DC-based Architecture Firm Hires Greg Reaves to Expand NY Office & Global Scope
Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM), the global design firm with studios in Washington, DC and New York, is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Reaves as Partner. Reaves, who will be leading LSM’s New York Studio, reinforces the firm’s commitment to their design excellence platform.
The award-winning firm has developed a deeply respected reputation within the design profession over the last 28 years, working on projects globally for visionary clients including Hines, Tishman Speyer, Rockefeller Capital Management, Covington, Milbank, Bloomberg, and General Dynamics.
A natural addition to LSM, he brings a wide range of experience, most recently as a partner at Safdie Architects in Boston directing projects across Asia, the Middle East, and in the US, including the project Jewel at Changi Airport in Singapore. Reaves was a partner at Thomas Phifer and Partners in New York for 13 years, where he was responsible for more than 15 notable projects that garnered 5 prestigious AIA National Honor awards including the North Carolina Museum of Art Expansion. He has also worked with Richard Meier and Partners as a senior project designer on The Getty Center in Los Angeles, as well as Skidmore Owings and Merrill where he started his career.

An active supporter of education and industry awareness and advancement, Reaves is chairman of the School of Architecture Advisory Board at his alma mater the University of Kentucky and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). He frequently contributes to technical and industry forums and enjoys speaking at universities and colleges of architecture.
