Deadline is Oct. 13 to submit entries to CET Designer Awards; conference is nearing capacity but there is still time to register
Configura, maker of CET Designer software, announces the last call for the 10th annual CET Designer Awards. The deadline to submit entries is Oct. 13. The competition is free to enter.
CET Designer users are encouraged to share their best work created in CET Designer. Award winners will be announced during CET Designer User and Developer Conference in November. Conference attendance is not required to enter or win.
CET Designer Awards categories:
- Best Success Story: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
- Best Fly-Thru Video: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
- Best Rendering:
- Office / Healthcare / Material Handling: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
- Kitchen: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
- Student rendering: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
- Best 360 Panorama: 1st, 2ndand 3rd place awards
Configura will award 18 prizes in four categories – including the top prize for the Best Success Story; the first-place winner in this category will receive $1,500.

Conference information and registration
The 10th annual CET Designer User and Developer Conference is Nov. 8-9 at The Venetian Hotel and Sands Expo in Las Vegas. Configura will accept registrations until the conference reaches capacity – however, the deadline to receive a special room rate at the host hotel is fast approaching. Configura has negotiated a room rate with The Venetian ($269-$289/night) but to get this rate, conference registrants need to book their rooms by Oct. 6. There are a limited number of rooms available.
Configura anticipates nearly 500 people – interior designers, dealer principals, software developers and representatives from leading global commercial furniture manufacturers – at the event that has become tradition in the CET Designer community.
The keynote speaker at this year’s conference is Contract magazine’s 2017 Designer of the Year Suzette Subance Ferrier. Joining Subance Ferrier as a leading speaker at the conference will be Kadie Yale, editor-in-chief of interiors+sources magazine. American Society of Interior Designers’ Susan Wiggins also joins the speakers’ slate.
Other speakers, presenters and workshop leaders include CET Designer team members and power users.

Continuing Education Units
A number of the user conference sessions are approved for Continuing Education Units by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC).
Developer conference
In conjunction with the CET Designer User Conference, Configura will also host a developer conference – the third year in a row that Configura has commingled the conferences.
The CET Developer Conference is an opportunity to meet and share experiences with other CET (Configura Extension Technology) developers, explore the CET Developer community and learn about new topics. It’s also an opportunity for designers and developers to get together so they can talk with each other about what’s needed and what’s next in CET Designer.
An opportunity to have fun, meet others, be creative
