KnollTextiles is pleased to announce the launch of Outline, a textiles and wallcovering collection that explores line work, geometry and color in high performance products. Outline offers pattern with carefully considered color combinations that stand out as fresh and modern. Highlights of the collection include Nature Walk, a polyurethane upholstery by legendary modernist designer Ruth Adler Schnee, high performance 100% woven polyethylene wallcoverings Alias II & Asterisk II, and KnollTextiles’ first ever digitally printed privacy fabric with integrated mesh for a seamless look and easy maintenance. In total the collection is comprised of 3 upholstery and 2 healthcare fabrics plus 3 wallcovering products.
Upholstery
Nature Walk: Highly engaging small-scale polyurethane from guest designer Ruth Adler Schnee. Still actively working in her 90s she derived inspiration for Nature Walk from time spent outdoors in Colorado Springs. Nature Walk has a textured ground that is digitally printed with a combination of 9 colors within each of the 6 skus.

Midpoint: A nod to trending ‘mod’ mid-large scale geometric patterns. What sets Midpoint apart from similar patterns in the market is the exacting attention paid to the relationship between the 10 yarn colors utilized within each of the 6 skus. The values are not too close or too far apart from one another allowing the eye to embrace each color as it moves across the pattern.

Privacy
Eden Stripe: This small-scale vertical stripe was inspired by French ribbon. Appearing simple from a distance, the intricacies of the weave structure become apparent as you move closer to the fabric. There is a delicate layering and twisting of yarns from the ‘deflected weave’ creating a soft lace like appearance. Eden Stripe has a fresh palette that is calm and inviting.

Canyon Stripe: This is KnollTextiles first digitally printed privacy fabric with integrated mesh for easy maintenance. Canyon Stripe has bold digitally printed stripes plus texture on the ‘guest side’ of the fabric while the ‘patient side’ is designed with texture only to facilitate a more tranquil patient experience. This statement making fabric is available in a sophisticated array of colors allowing it to live in hospitals as well as any hospitality driven healthcare or wellness environments such as clinics, spas and fitness centers.

About KnollTextiles
KnollTextiles is currently under the creative direction of Dorothy Cosonas, who combines clean, clear color with modern, elegant patterns and textures. In 2005 Cosonas was named the 11th Creative Director of KnollTextiles. Her inaugural collection won a Best of NeoCon Gold award – her first of 7 along with 6 Silver awards for Knoll. In 2008 she founded Knoll Luxe as the fashion forward luxury component of KnollTextiles where she has contributed her own work along with collaborating fashion designers such as Proenza Schouler, Rodarte and Maria Cornejo. Her work was a major part of KnollTextiles 2011 retrospective exhibition at the Bard Graduate Center and has been accepted into the permanent collection of Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian National Design Museum. Most recently, Cosonas received the 2016 IIDA Titan Award. Founded by Florence Knoll in 1947, KnollTextiles is a division of Knoll, Inc., and maintains a marketing and design studio at 1330 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019.
