Kentucky-based contract furniture manufacturer, KFI Studios, is pleased to introduce Calm, designed by Union Design. This new collection of versatile screens provides adaptable privacy solutions for dynamic spaces.
“Today’s hybrid work model is typically synonymous with hot desks and modular furniture
solutions,” said Chris Smith, CEO of KFI Studios. “This ever-evolving working landscape means less quiet time and personal space. Our new Calm screens provide personalized privacy wherever needed.”
Made from recycled plastic felt pressed into a fluted design, Calm is comprised of three
individual panels – a straight screen, a straight screen with rounded side, and a curved screen. The two straight screens come with a weighted steel base, allowing them to be used freestanding and easily moved as needed. Additionally, Calm functions as a modular system, with all three screens connecting to create various configurations for space division. The curved screen introduces softer, more organic shapes to these configurations.
Customers can choose from six types of steel joining brackets to connect the screens together. These brackets easily slip into the screen’s integrated slots, allowing for customizable configurations such as L-shaped, U-shaped, T-shaped, Zigzag, Star, and Straight setups. These configurations accommodate a range of needs, from private desk work to collaborative team meetings.
The PET felt comes in three classic neutral colors – Charcoal, Grey, and Stone.
Designed to seamlessly integrate with other KFI Studios products, Calm complements the
Conversa Modular Lounge and Dotti Lounge. The straight screens can be placed around or between Conversa’s seat modules to create private seating areas, while the curved screen fits around the Dotti lounge chair’s curved back.
