Kasian is pleased to announce the acquisition of modo, an award-winning Toronto interior design firm led by Chantal Frenette, ARIDO, IDC, LEED AP, and Scott Norwood, AATO. The team of modo designers and project managers will add bench strength to Kasian’s Toronto office to better serve local and national clients.

“The addition of modo will reinforce our commitment to workplace design and enhance our ability to deliver excellence across integrated projects in all market sectors,” says Don Kasian, founder and President of Kasian.

The diverse roster of modo clients includes AVIVA, Canadian Tire, IBM Canada, Interac, Metrolinx, MMM Group, Morneau Shepell, Morrison Hershfield, Raymond James, and RBC.

Chantal’s comprehensive workplace and design expertise, paired with Scott’s extensive background in project implementation and architectural technology, will be an asset to Kasian.

“We are very proud to join this well-recognized international firm,” says Chantal. “The collaborative energy of our two groups will benefit current and future clients.”

Scott adds, “Kasian and modo share a similar corporate culture and people-centric work style. This was important to all of us.”

Highly respected by their peers, modo was selected to design the offices shared by the Interior Designers of Canada and the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario. The project was featured in Canadian Interiors under the headline “Letter perfect: modo’s design for IDC/ARIDO deserves an A+.”

“modo is a proven firm that will integrate well into the Kasian family; we can see the talent and envision the results,” says Don Kasian. “Our new teammates will strengthen our Toronto office with expertise that can be leveraged across our firm.”

Since its founding in 1983, Kasian has developed into one of the world’s top 100 integrated design firms. With nearly 300 team members in offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Doha, the firm engages with clients locally and abroad in all market sectors.
