Kartell strengthens its retail expansion strategy and distribution network in China with an important new store opening in Beijing: Kartell’s new flagship store opens March 16 in the Blue Morning Easyhome North department store in the heart of the Beijing furniture district, where Kartell already has a small exhibit space.
The opening of this bigger, more centrally located flagship store confirms the Chinese market’s great interest in the brand. In fact, the last few years have given rise to a growing young Chinese middle class; dynamic and cosmopolitan, they are increasingly drawn to more contemporary, innovative design ideas.
The space is an exclusive window to the Kartell world and philosophy, offering a unique shopping experience. The flagship store is designed to show the concept of the products and their infinite variations with a special display. The space is divided into different settings that evoke and inspire Kartell’s complex, rich decor solutions, showing off both the latest products and the best sellers that have become contemporary design icons. Kartell’s creative approach involves both process innovation as well as constant research into technology and materials, giving every single product one-of-a-kind added value.
Designed by the Laviani design studio, the flagship store is a result of consolidated collaboration between Kartell and partner Blue Morning. It confirms the focus of Kartell’s expansion plan, increasingly more centred on the single-brand retail approach.
The new store joins Kartell’s worldwide distribution network, which includes 140 flagship stores, 250 shop-in-shops, and more than 2,500 stores in over 140 countries.
